Are you concerned about climate change? Do you think Ireland is doing its fair share to prevent climate chaos in the future? The Government wants to know what you think Ireland should do to reduce our carbon emissions. This is a chance to press for real action. Ireland’s climate pollution has risen by almost twice the amount allowed under the Kyoto Protocol. Now the Government is saying it will develop a new Climate Change Strategy and they have invited the public to make recommendations.
Friends of the Earth have created a facility on their website www.climatepledge.ie to help you have your say in a matter of minutes. You can send a ready-made submission using their suggestions or you can pick and mix from their ideas, edit or discard them, and add your own. Either way, each submission adds to the pressure to take the issue more seriosuly. Have your say at http://www.climatepledge.ie.
